Parents, you are an important part of class!! Your student should have a peer review sheet. Please read their chosen draft and complete the peer review. This is due on Friday, 9/28/18. 🙂
We’re coming up on the due date for our final goals draft essay! The revised draft and revising sheet is due Friday, and we will begin typing that day. We will continue typing next Wednesday, 4/9. The deadline to turn in typed drafts and work packets is next Friday, 4/11. The work packets are due by 3:00, and typed drafts are due by 11:59.
We’ve almost made it! Keep working hard, and you’ll be fine. 🙂
This week we will be reviewing math standards in preparation for the Scantron Test all students must take. We will be working on the following math concepts: area, perimeter, circumference, Pythagorean theorem, and basic equations. We’ll end the week with a short review quiz. If you have any question, please shoot me an email! 🙂
The last goals project has begun! Today, draft #1 was due, and this weekend, you should be getting parent signature #1 (next to your grade). Reminder that next Friday, draft #2 will be due. Please don’t get behind! 🙂
We are getting ready to begin the final goals project of the year. It will be an abbreviated version so we will be finished in time for grading. Please help your child keep up with their project as this is a major portion of their grade in class. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to email me. 🙂
Goals writing project for the 3rd nine weeks is due one week from today!! We are typing in class (except for 3rd period, who have lost that privilege) Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The entire project and packet are due no later than Friday, March 9th. Late projects will be accepted, but will be penalized one letter grade per day late.
Revised drafts are due Tuesday, 3/3. You may not start typing until the revised draft is complete.
Welcome back to the new semester! I pray that your holiday was full of rest and family time. As we get started this semester, we are looking forward to who we’d like to become. This week, students are working on a Vision Board, creating a vision of who they’d like to become and what steps they need to take to become their brighter self. Look for these to come home this weekend, since the project is due on Monday. Talking with your kids about their goals for the year will help them tremendously in achieving them! 🙂
